At what age do you really know yourself completely?
Your likes and dislikes, your emotional capacity, your
mental and physical ability, everyone is so different
that there is no one correct answer.
And… sometimes you know things about yourself
that you don’t like and you try to not think about it.
I know I’ve done that!
But, knowing yourself will help you know your finances.
How? You might ask. Here’s how:
If you know that you’re the kind of person that doesn’t like
to pay bills, you definitely will know your current financial
crisis of having to pay bills late, and sometimes even having
a late fee added to your bill.
If you know that you are an emotional shopper, then you’ll
definitely know or come to know that you may not have enough
money each month to pay all of your bills.
If you know that you are a person that doesn’t have a very good
relationship with your money, then you’ll definitely know that you’ll
have a hard time making it, keeping it and managing it.
Take some time and really get to know yourself, and be honest!
Being honest with yourself is the only way that you’re going to be
able to improve your finances.
I always recommend that you have a notebook of some kind.
I do and always have had one. Fancy or not, it doesn’t matter.
Start jotting down things that you know and don’t know about yourself,
things that you need help with, things or ideas that inspire you.
Do that every day and watch how you’ll start to have those light bulb
moments. Which is totally cool!
It’s just one of the ways to get to know your finances.
